Prayer Meeting

Every other Wednesday, Christ Community Church gathers to pray. The Westminster Catechism says a prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God, for things agreeable to his will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins, and thankful acknowledgment of his mercies.

We pray for the Unity of the Body of Christ that meets at Christ Community Church.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
                                                                                      Colossians 3:12-13

We pray for our church leaders.

We pray for our worship services that they would be pleasing to God.

We pray for the various mission efforts at Christ Community Church.

But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?  And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
                                                                                      Romans 10:14-15

We pray for those in seminary.

We pray for those experiencing trials, sickness, affliction and challenges.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
