INTERVARSITY

Tell me another generation that is open to discussions about hope, justice, human nature, spirituality, community, and development. Today’s college students are a generation unlike any other. College students face many challenges. For many, it’s the first time they’ve been on their own, and they must learn how to make personal choices in the midst of learning. Once in college, a student may have to deal with antagonistic professors, roommates with different beliefs, friends with eating disorders, or pitfalls like binge drinking. Students also grapple with the philosophies and ideas they encounter in the classroom every day, including universalism, relativism, and post-modernism. For many students, a life of faith can seem elusive. InterVarsity believes that all people on college campuses need the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also believe that students’ faith in Christ can flourish as they learn how to make His choices their own.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a campus mission serving more than 35,000 students and faculty on over 550 campuses nationwide. Incorporated in 1941, InterVarsity has a tradition of campus witness, personal discipleship, leadership development, and world missions. We are a trans-denominational campus ministry dedicated to helping students integrate biblical faith and academic achievement. In response to God's love, grace and truth: The Purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world.
