Christ Community Church staff and elders believe that discipleship is essential to a person’s spiritual growth. Our discipleship ministry uses a curriculum entitled, The Journey, which focuses on five essential characteristics: Truth, Equipping, Accountability, Mission, and Supplication. Jesus practiced this in His discipleship of the twelve. He taught His disciples truth, held them accountable, prayed with and for them, equipped them to share with others, and then sent them on a mission together.
Discipleship teams meet weekly to:
- Become mature and equipped followers of Christ
- Invest in each others lives & encourage spiritual growth
- Fellowship and support each other through struggles
- Establish disciplines in scripture memory, quiet times and Bible Study
- Learn how to disciple - bear fruit, fulfilling the great commission.
A trained leader, who will seek to lead you and your group to a place of spiritual growth and equip you with a biblical-worldview, facilitates each team. Discipleship teams meet weekly and are separated into groups of men or groups of women.
Does the invitation to know Christ better and enter into deeper relationships with fellow believers intrigue you? CCC is currently organizing groups of people who desire to participate in discipleship teams. If you have questions about discipleship or would like to join a team, please contact the office at (910) 784-1991.
