I have to admit I was pretty nervous about the building campaign. Most of the stories I had heard from other pastors were not encouraging. Pastors are called to ministry not because of their ability to raise money but because of their desire to raise people's awareness to the Living God. I was pleasantly surprised.

First, we had a great team who worked had to keep me from carring a disproportionate amount of the freight of the building campaign. I particularly appreciated Reggie Stanley's sensitivity in this area. Second, Generis was extremely helpful. We would not have been nearly as efficient, organized or successfu without their years of experience. Finally, as I had hoped, the whole process came around to being a spiritual exercise and the building was simply the treadmill on which we ran. Our goal will never be to build buildings but to build image bearers. We can be thankful that we are reflecting more of His glory at the end of the campaign than at the beginning. Thanks for your continued sacrifice and prayers as we move forward.
