The commitment profile is a tool Generis specifically customized for Christ Community Church.  It helps demonstrate what levels of giving our church needs to achieve in order to raise the funds necessary to build our new church home and the necessity of receiving commitments at many different levels. As you pray about your three-year commitment to the future of Christ Community Church, the profile can challenge you to think about how your commitment breaks down annually, monthly and weekly. 

 

Based on conservative growth projections our worship facility should meet our needs for the next 7 to 10 years. The sanctuary is being designed to seat approximately 400 individuals. As our membership grows, we can easily add a second worship service to accommodate increased attendance. These same growth projections show that our planned Sunday School class space will meet our needs for the next 5 to 7 years. Therefore, our next phase for building will most likely be in response to a need for more Sunday School class space verses a new sanctuary.

 

We currently have approximately $160,000 in cash in our building fund with an additional $200,000 that was pledged a number of months ago to the campaign.

 

Based on our conversations with Generis, the church should expect to see regular giving increase rather than decrease. Based on the hundreds of churches assisted by Generis, the vast majority of churches see regular giving increase.

If everything goes as planned, we hope to begin construction sometime during the second quarter of this year. Construction is estimated to take about 12 months. So our target date would be somewhere around early summer 2008.
